| Plot |
| Cruise ship passengers are enjoying New Year's Eve when the ship is capsized by a tsunami. A group of passengers, led by Reverend Frank Scott (Gene Hackman) struggles to climb up to the hull of the boat and escape the sinking liner. Other passengers in the group include Mike Rogo (Ernest Borgnine), his wife, Linda (Stella Stevens), James Martin (Red Buttons), and Belle Rosen (Shelly Winters). It is a dangerous climb over the boat's machinery, through leaking fluids, and into uncharted territory. The passengers also battle internal demons during their climb. Some of them don't make it. The ones who do reach the hull are eventually saved by search crews who cut through the metal ship bottom and help them to safety. |
