| “Space Camp” is a story about a group of kids of all ages who spend their summer vacations at space camp. Here they all learn how to operate a space shuttle, walk in zero gravity orbits and how to suit up for a ‘space walk’. Eventually they’re grouped into teams and one such team, the Blue Team consists of Kevin Donaldson (Tate Donovan), Kathryn Fairly (Lea Thompson), Tish Ambrosei (Kelly Preston), Rudy Tyler (Larry B. Scott), Max Graham (Joaquin Phoenix) all led by teaching instructor, Andie Bergstrom (Kate Capshaw). The team is also the aid of experimental space droid, Jinx. All of these individuals are here for a specific reason and will have their chance to sit in a shuttle while NASA tests the rocket engines but accidentally end up in space and have to work together to get back home. |
