| Dogtown And Z-Boys is a documentary showing the history of skateboarding and how the sport gained a comeback in the 1980's. Specifically, it follows a group of boys who grew up in Santa Monica, California who became famous for their competitive skateboarding while they were a part of the Zephyr Skateboard team. The film uses historical video and present day interviews with the subjects. It also gained attention because it is narrated by Sean Penn and has a soundtrack filled with famous rock and roll songs. There is also a movie based on the boys life, Lords of Dogtown (2005). |
