| Plot |
| A cult Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story" (1983) is the tale of Ralphie Parker's (Peter Billingsley) quest to get his dream Christmas gift, a Red Ryder. Given that the Red Ryder is a BB gun, Ralphie is reminded time and again by his parents (Darren McGavin and Melinda Dillon) that "you'll shoot your eye out". Bullies, school pranks, and Christmas dinner mishaps all hilariously add to the Christmas spirit and to Ralphie's life. Humorous details of Ralphie’s life such as the bundling up of himself and his brother, Randy Parker (Ian Petrella) to protect from the winter cold to the point where his brother can barely walk are key to the movie’s plot. |
